UvaUva

UvaUva, quite literally, means ‘Grape Grape.’ We were built on a small Petite Syrah and Monastrell vineyard in the middle of the Valle de Guadalupe, just an hour and a half from San Diego and 20 minutes east of the beach. The terrain here is well-loved for being able to produce wine varietals reminiscent of Spain, Portugal, Southern France, Southern Italy, and Greece – all of course, with a uniquely Baja flair. It’s this, combined with the beautifully rugged and laidback atmosphere in the area, that caused us to be completely enamored by Valle de Guadalupe in the first place.

We had always dreamt of opening a boutique hotel, and when the opportunity to purchase our vineyard finally arose, we jumped at the chance. Our first goal was to provide visitors with a relaxing, welcoming escape. But we felt a strong commitment to protecting the Valle and preserving its beauty, so sustainability and eco-conscious practices were infused into every decision we made about the property’s design. The property blends into the landscape and is raised above the ground to keep the disruption to our vineyard as minimal as possible. Besides WiFi, which we offer in each cabin, we are entirely off-the-grid. We did this to make it as effortless as possible for our guests to be comfortable and enjoy all the beauty of sustainable living, without any of the inconveniences. UvaUva is a space to connect with each other, to admire nature, to enjoy our unique wine country, and to take in the rustic charms of the Valle de Guadalupe.

We hope to make your stay as unforgettable as possible, and we look forward to welcoming you back for years to come as friends!
